((((Jess!)))) It's horrid isn't it! I had really nasty sciatica and if I had a good day, I'd overdo it and end up with awful backache for the next week. The best natural back relief I had was from sitting on my birthing ball as it was softer on the coccyx and helped the baby rotate into a better position. It could be down to your lil girlie's position why the pain is worse at times too, so always worth researching sites on how to try to encourage them to roll into the best position. There are some crazy strategies out there! Nice warm compresses - microwavable oatbags and stuff like that always help. Other than that, just try lots of pilates for pregnancy positions and don't over do the housework anymore. Lifting should be left to you man from now on!!

(and yes - the second bubba is born, I'll bet your back aches melt away)
I've had a few bouts of sciatica (including one this week). Going to the chiropractor, doing easy prenatal yoga, and swimming have really helped. Sam's suggestions look good too. It could be that your little lady is laying on a nerve in there, so if you can gently convince her to move, it may help. Take it easy - no lifting, stooping, bending, etc. Also, you may want to see an acupuncturist or chiropractor if you have one nearby, because they can treat it, not just dilute the pain. Good luck!
