I received a phone call this morning from my mom who surprised me by asking if I wanted to go to Gattiland today. I never would have guessed that she'd want to go there. I said sure--but Marianne had to be convinced. The food is sub-par to say the least, I realize, but I thought Leo would get a kick out of running around, playing what he could, and seeing all the people. He did all of the above. As soon as we pulled through the parking lot, we almost turned right around. No kidding--there were about 7 or 8 school buses outside (field trips) which meant a combination of a couple hundred elementary and middle school students inside. I ducked in to scope out the scene before we all ventured inside--and it wasn't so bad. The kids had all already eaten and by the time we would be ready for the games they would be heading out.
Attending today's activities: me, Leo, Gus, my mom, Marianne, Ava, and Philip's girlfriend Annie, who is in town visiting. Philip was at work today so she came with us too. (Crazy girl!) Collectively we managed to score 154 tickets which bought Leo 2 hackey sacks, 1 ball, a plastic smiley ring, and 4 tootsie rolls. I'm sure that loot was worth all the tokens it took. Right. Regardless, we all had a good time today.
